XenoDream TutorialsWorking with RegionsNow this topic can be a bit puzzling to some new users of XenoDream. Trying to visualize how to control specific areas of an object/s through the use of Regions can be daunting at first. But with only a few basic controls (as seen in the figures below), it is really quite easy once you start playing with the images. The main confusion lies in which 'Method' should be chosen when establishing Regions, and the User has three distinct options: Holon Step, Gradient, and Per Holon.Holon Step ![]() fig.1 Figure 1 above, shows you the default settings which are used on the Rendering tab. There are only two additional controls available once the "Holon Step" Method has been chosen. And the 'Number of Regions' control will be available for each Method choice. Gradient ![]() fig.2 Figure 2 above, shows you the controls on the Rendering tab when the "Gradient" Method has been chosen. Per Holon ![]() fig.3 Figure 3 above, shows you the controls on the Rendering tab when the "Per Holon" Method has been chosen. This page is still being refined off site.
